Snickbuzzard

snickbuzzard-small

snickbuzzard (Skreean)

“What is more frightening than a bird with a navel? Nothing, methinks. The common snickbuzzard lives mostly in and just to the south of the Stony Mountains, though I have seen snickbuzzard bones in a rockroach den in North Glipwood Forest.

They fly in herds up to two hundred strong, and will eat anything that can be snicked into bite-sized hunks, which tragically includes my poor dog Truby–may he or she rest in peace!”

Maybe it’s not technically a belly button, maybe it’s just a divot of some kind.

So I’m curious, does the bellybutton mean this bird endured a more mammal-like gestation? I.e., didn’t hatch from an egg but was fed through an umbilical cord? Man, scientists would have a field day in this world… all kinds of “missing links” everywhere.

But it plays an important role in the ecosystem! Without it, the trees wouldn’t be afraid of it landing on it when it moved, SO TREES WOULD TAKE OVER AEWIAR!!!!!
