The Pew Research Center has released data on “incidents of religious property damage” for 2012. This tells a story of religious persecution that can be easily quantified.

It’s no surprise to see China topping the list. It’s been know for a long time that China has great distain for religous freedom. However, there is a peculiar slide of hand going on in Russia.
“Inside the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to rebuild two monasteries and a church torn down by Stalin about 85 years ago. But as Russia rebuilds churches with one hand, with the other it’s been knocking them down.”
It’s time for governments and ‘powers that be’ to stand-up to nations extinguishing religious freedom. At its core, freedom must always extend to the religious. Once the freedom of religion is reigned and reduced is the beginning of an avalanche of extinguishing all other freedoms.
The fact that Russia is silently knocking them down without any International attention should be a cause of concern.
