Slave labor—labor trafficking—has been a long time problem in Thailand, so seeing Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha’s proactive approach is refreshing.
Perhaps this will lead to more movement on fighting sex trafficking?
Time will tell.

I love how they are trying to help those trapped in labor trafficking and not just ship them back to their place of origin. The commentator, however, did bring up some interesting questions about government agencies labeling trafficking victims appropriately to save money or other self interests.
Whether this is true or not, I am unsure. However,this is an excellent example of how lawmakers can put the right laws and programs into place, but to follow through and ensure that it is benefiting trafficking victims, takes a whole other layer of action.
