Last summer turned ugly in Miami as George Zimmerman tragically shot and killed Trayvon Martin. The controversial case split America, people took sides, things got ugly, and then came the verdict.
The jury in the case did not find George Zimmerman “innocent.” They found him “not guilty.” A distinction that is important to keep in mind. Zimmerman will never be “innocent” in this case, just as Trayvon Martin will never be alive. It can be easy to hold strong opinions about this tragedy, despite having all the facts and evidence.
