This past week, video footage from last February shows NFL running back Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens punching his fiance in the face and knocking her out cold.
The domestic violence occurred in an Atlantic City elevator and has lead to a two game suspension from the NFL. While many believe this punishment from the NFL, which knew about this video months before it was released, wasn’t a harsh enough punishment, it doesn’t seem to bother all the Raven fans:

I understand giving people a second chance and forgiving people, but sporting their jersey and demanding that the NFL withhold any kind of code-of-conduct standards is going way too far. It’s as if all of those who have a warped perspective of domestic violence can be seen by their reaction to this situation. Those who understand it for what it is are horrified by it and believe Ray Rice should be held accountable by the NFL. Whereas those who have a warped perspective, perhaps because they are a victim of it themselves, are more than willing to look the other way—just like Rice’s finance, who is now his wife.
