I remember hearing about overpopulation as a kid.
My grandmother used to say,
“If the world was really running out of food because of overpopulation, than why don’t we grow gardens in the highway medians?”
Although overpopulation doesn’t have a direct correlation with hunger, it does say something about perception.
- If your refrigerator is empty and payday and food stamps is two weeks away, is there a hunger problem in the world?
- If you’ve been unemployed for six months, is there an unemployment problem?
- If you can’t afford to buy your kids new shoes, is the economy hurting?
So, is the world over populated?
