What Happens to the Losing Team’s Championship Shirts?

When an NFL team wins the Super Bowl or an MLB team wins the World Series, it’s only a matter of seconds before they are wearing and twirling t-shirts boasting the declaration of champion.

So, what happens to all those t-shirts that were made ready for the losing team?

In the past, it went straight the trash, but now, World Vision collects the gear:

The international humanitarian aid group collects the unwanted items over the days following the game at their distribution center in Pittsburgh, then ships it overseas to people living in disaster areas and impoverished nations.
