The battle over net neutrality has its dividing lines and both political parties have chose their sides.
While support for or against may vary from one elected official to another, there does seem to be a political party preference as outlined in this infographic:
I think both sides are both wrong and right on this issue.
The idea of companies playing favorites over bandwidth—unneutral Internet—is downright wrong. However, letting the FCC regulate this gives the Federal Government leverage against regulating content—which is dangerous.
For the Internet to stay free, would require both the Federal Government and Internet providers to ‘play nice.’
Unfortunately, it looks like Internet provider companies are too greedy and once the government has control over it, regulation will see no end.
Ultimatly, the Internet users themselves will lose out…not matter if we have regulated net neutrality or not…
